What is Neumorphism? The Design Trend That Divides the Design World

Neumorphism is a visual design style that creates soft, extruded UI elements that appear to blend seamlessly with their background. Unlike flat design that eliminates depth, or skeuomorphism that mimics real textures, neumorphism sits somewhere in between.

The core idea? UI elements look like they’re emerging from the background — raised above or pressed into the surface, as if carved from the same material.
