I Cataloged Every Borderlands 4 Legendary Weapon — Here's What the Data Says

I spent way too many hours cataloging every BL4 legendary weapon with drop sources, elements, and farming locations. While doing it I noticed some patterns in the data that surprised me.

The Numbers

After compiling 75+ legendaries across 9 manufacturers, here's the breakdown:

Element distribution: Incendiary leads at 28%, followed by Kinetic at 24%, Shock at 15%, Corrosive at 13%, Cryo at 10%, Radiation at 8%, Explosive at 2% (Torgue only, obviously).

Weapon type distribution: Assault Rifles dominate at 24%, then SMGs at 21%, Shotguns at 17%, Pistols at 15%, Snipers at 14%, and RPGs at 9%. AR supremacy is real.

Manufacturer weapon count: Jakobs (10), Vladof (10), Maliwan (10), Dahl (10), Hyperion (10), Torgue (10), Tediore (8), Atlas (7), COV (7). Most manufacturers are even, but Atlas and COV are noticeably underrepresented — likely because their gimmicks (smart bullets and heat management) require more unique weapon designs.

The Easiest Farms That Everyone Should Know

• Monarch (Killavolt, Lectra City) — Best boss DPS in the game, requires Mayhem 6+. Killavolt melts if you use a Transformer shield.
• Plasma Coil (Arms Race, Vaulthalla) — Best mobbing SMG hands down. You have to extract it from Arms Race which is kind of annoying but worth it.
• Unkempt Harold (Savage Lee, Splinterlands) — Still the king of burst pistols. 30-second farm, no DLC required.

Surprising Finding: Content Vacuum

Googling "BL4 legendary weapons" or "Borderlands 4 farming guide" brings up Reddit threads and IGN listicles, but very few comprehensive databases that list manufacturer, element, drop source, AND location all in one place. Most existing resources are spread across YouTube videos, forum posts, and wiki fragments.
