What I Built
VibeCheck™ is the ultimate Anti-Productivity Platform designed specifically to stop you from grinding.
In a world obsessed with optimizing every second for maximum output, VibeCheck takes the opposite approach. It is a satirical dashboard built with a "chaotic cottagecore" aesthetic that actively discourages you from doing any actual work. Instead of tracking tasks, it tracks your vibes.
Key features include:
Infinity Pomodoro: A timer that rewards you the longer you don't work.
The Guilt-Free Generator: A sassy, anti-logic life coach that gives you terrible, unhelpful advice on why you should just go buy an iced latte instead of writing code.
Overtime Garden: A "Forest-style" app feature that grows flowers on your screen every 15 minutes you work overtime—nature's way of claiming back your wasted time!
NerdGate: A strict gatekeeper that prevents anyone with too much logic from entering.

- Set up your environment variables:
Create a
.env.localfile in the root directory and add your Google Gemini API key:
GEMINI_API_KEY…How I Built It
VibeCheck was built with a modern stack, used exclusively for the most unserious purposes:
Next.js 16 (App Router) & React 19: To ensure our lack of productivity is blazingly fast.
Tailwind CSS v4 & Framer Motion: Powering the unapologetically chaotic, smooth, and aggressively aesthetic cottagecore animations.
Google Generative AI (gemini-1.5-flash): The brains behind the operation. We hooked up the Gemini API to the Guilt-Free Generator to process user guilt and spit out 1-2 sentence savage replies telling them to go touch grass.
Prize Category
Why? Because while most people use cutting-edge AI to solve complex mathematical theorems or generate enterprise code, we used the lightning-fast Gemini 3.1 pro model specifically to build a snarky life coach that hates data and aggressively endorses slacking off. It's the pinnacle of artificial un-intelligence (by design)!
