A hundred likes looks like useful data.
But what did those people actually mean?
They may have agreed, enjoyed the presentation, supported the author, or simply acknowledged the post.
That ambiguity is something I’m thinking about while building Callout. Instead of one generic reaction, opinions receive Based or Hot Take votes.
More specific buttons can provide clearer signals, but they still cannot answer every question. Sometimes ten thoughtful responses are more valuable than one hundred effortless taps.
When evaluating something you’ve built, which signal do you trust most: engagement, retention, structured votes, or written feedback?
