💭 What I'd do differently
Start the learning loop earlier. I waited until I had a polished
product to turn on gap detection. In hindsight — turn it on day one.
Even noisy data from your first 10 conversations tells you something.
Resist long system prompts. My best-performing personas are under
150 words. Short, directive, with clear output instructions.
Every extra sentence is a chance for the model to lose the thread.
Rate limit from the start. Public-facing agents attract abuse.
I built a simple IP-based limiter early — it saved me from a
surprise API bill more than once.
