Introducing Wings Autopilot: A Hyper-Local Marketplace for Digital Creators and Businesses

Hey everyone,
I want to share the vision for a startup I am currently building called Wings Autopilot. It is a localized freelancing platform designed to connect business owners directly with the digital talent in their own city.

The Problem It Solves
While there are massive global freelance platforms out there, local retail brands and small businesses often prefer working with talent they can meet face-to-face or who intimately understand the local market. Conversely, skilled creators and developers often struggle to find reliable clients right in their own backyard. Wings Autopilot is being built to bridge that gap.

How Wings Autopilot Works
The platform operates as a two-sided marketplace tailored specifically for digital services:
For Business Owners: It serves as a streamlined, local directory to find and hire service providers. Whether a shop needs a videographer for an ad campaign, a social media manager, a photographer, a content creator, or a web developer to build their digital storefront, they can discover professionals operating in their area.
For Service Providers: It acts as a digital portfolio and lead-generation hub. Creators and developers can post their past projects, highlight their specific technical or creative skill sets, and increase their visibility to local businesses actively looking to hire.

The Engineering Focus
Building a two-sided marketplace comes with a fun set of engineering challenges. I am currently working through the architecture for:
User Profiles and Authentication: Ensuring secure and distinct dashboards for both clients and freelancers.

Portfolio Hosting: Allowing creators to easily upload and display their media assets and code repositories.
Search and Indexing: Creating an intuitive filtering system so business owners can find exactly who they need based on specific services and portfolio tags
Starting this in my local ecosystem in Lucknow has provided a fantastic testing ground for understanding what physical brick-and-mortar businesses actually need from a digital matching platform.

Looking Forward
I am excited to keep iterating on the core features before opening it up to more users. I would love to hear from anyone in the DEV community who has experience building two-sided marketplaces, freelancing apps, or directory platforms.
What tech stack did you find most effective for handling user-uploaded portfolios and complex search queries? Let us discuss the architecture in the comments.
