GPU-as-a-Service (GaaS), Model-as-a-Service (MaaS), Token-as-a-Service (TaaS)

AI infrastructure is evolving fast.

A few years ago, companies were only talking about “cloud computing.”
Now the conversation has shifted to:

  • GPU-as-a-Service (GaaS) → Rent powerful GPUs on demand for AI training and inference.
  • Model-as-a-Service (MaaS) → Access pre-trained AI models through APIs without managing infrastructure.
  • Token-as-a-Service (TaaS) → Pay based on AI token usage instead of maintaining your own models and compute.

Why this matters:

  1. Faster AI development
  2. Lower infrastructure cost
  3. No need to manage expensive hardware
  4. Easy scalability for startups
  5. Faster experimentation and deployment

We are moving toward a future where:

  • Infrastructure becomes invisible
  • Models become utilities
  • Tokens become the new billing unit of AI

The companies that understand this shift early will build and scale AI products much faster than others.

Interesting trend:
Cloud computing simplified servers.
Now AI services are simplifying intelligence itself.
What do you think will dominate the next 5 years:

  • GaaS
  • MaaS
  • TaaS
  • Or something completely new?
