It is very important to keep your networks, systems, accounts as well as your passwords safe. As we are all living in digital era and we all want our systems and accounts safe. There are several things to keep in mind, as user's points to keep all the things safe.
While going through several blogs and observations, there are different ways of storing the passwords. Although, there are ways that we can even use the password-less methods too but 80% developers still use passwords as security practice. There passwords can be stored in:
- If you logged in any accounts in browsers, google password manager can store the passwords if you allow them.
- After log in, the passwords are stored in Session storage, cache or in local storage if you give the permission to store as in hardware database.
- While login you accounts, other than your systems and phones, make sure you will remove the passwords from all the above mentioned storage ways.
- Writing down your passwords is unsafe, either you can store them in encrypted files, or password protected files or in pen-drive with high level of encryption with passwords.
- Check for you logged in session devices to make sure your logged in accounts are successfully, logged out from others devices.
- While thinking about the storage in phones, the passwords are stored in hardware in form of caches as well as in log files too.
So, after logging out from others systems and devices, make sure you are able to remove passwords from all the mentioned storage.
