Hi, Iโm Devi ๐
I use AI every day, not as a coder but as a curious explorer.
One thing Iโve noticed: AI can teach, but most users donโt use it that way.
They ask for quick outputs, or better outputs, but not for the โhow.โ
Thatโs where the Devi Principle comes in:
๐ Solve โ Offer Learning โ Respect Choice
Problem
Hereโs the problem I see every day:
Most people use AI like a vending machine.
They type a prompt, take the output, maybe ask for a better version, and move on.
Whatโs missing?
๐ They donโt learn how the answer was created.
๐ They donโt build the skill to do it themselves.
๐ They stay dependent on AI instead of growing with it.
This isnโt the fault of AI. Itโs about how we use it.
Solution: The Devi Principle
A simple flow:
๐ Solve โ Offer Learning โ Respect Choice
What does this mean?
Example 1: Resume
User: โMake me a resume.โ
AI: Gives the draft resume.
AI follow-up: โDo you want a quick breakdown of how I structured this โ keywords, ATS rules, and formatting tips?โ
Example 2: Email
User: โWrite a resignation email.โ
AI: Writes the email.
AI follow-up: โWant me to explain why I used this tone, paragraph order, and subject line?โ
The user can say yes (and learn in 60 seconds) or no (and just use the output).
Either way, the choice stays with the user.
Benefits
Why does this matter?
โ๏ธ Users learn instead of just copy-paste.
โ๏ธ Skills improve over time (resume writing, email writing, design, etc.).
โ๏ธ AI becomes a partner in growth, not just an output machine.
โ๏ธ Builds trust โ users see the โwhyโ behind the answer.
In short:
The Devi Principle turns every answer into a learning opportunity, without forcing it.
This is my first post on Dev.to, and it comes straight from daily experience.
I may not be a coder, but I believe ideas matter.
AI should not just give us answers โ it should help us grow.
Thatโs the heart of the Devi Principle:
๐ Solve โ Offer Learning โ Respect Choice
If this sparks something for you, let me know.
If you build on it, tag me back โ Iโd love to see it grow.
