πŸ” From Full Stack Dev to Security Researcher: My Journey & What I Learned By Mashudul Hoque (@devmashud)

Hello Dev Community! πŸ‘‹
I’m Mashudul Hoque, a passionate Full Stack Developer and Security Researcher from Bangladesh. This is my first post on dev.to, and I wanted to share how I combined full stack development with ethical hacking to create more secure and scalable apps.

πŸ’» How It Started
I began with front-end development, mainly focusing on HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React. Over time, I learned back-end technologies like Node.js, Express, and MongoDB, and became a MERN stack developer.

But I realized something was missing β€” Security. No matter how great your UI/UX is, if your app isn’t secure, it’s at risk.

πŸ” Enter Web Security & Bug Bounties
I started studying OWASP Top 10, and exploring bug bounty platforms. Soon, I was finding real vulnerabilities like:

βœ… XSS (Cross-Site Scripting)

βœ… IDOR (Insecure Direct Object Reference)

βœ… Broken Authentication

These helped me look at my dev projects from a hacker’s perspective β€” and it changed how I code forever.
