Take the DEV Community Satisfaction Survey!

Hey there, DEV Community members!

This is a quick note to let you know that we just published a brand new DEV Community Satisfaction Survey.

The goal of this brief questionnaire is to learn what you love about the platform, what could be better, and how you use DEV. Our team looks forward to reviewing your responses so we can make DEV into the best place it can be.

>> Take the DEV Community Satisfaction Survey

The survey will remain open through September 23, 2022 (11:59 PM UTC) but we'll explore reissuing it on a regular basis in the future.

As an added bonus, you'll have the option to opt-in to our raffle as a thank-you for taking the time to share your feedback. We'll be randomly raffling off five codes worth $50 towards the Forem Shop. πŸŽ‰

Thank you for being a member of this community and thank you in advance for sharing your valuable thoughts with us in the survey.

Why is it confused about thanking me for doing the survey?

Great idea! I really like the bit about feeling safe to post. It feels like the opposite of stack overflow πŸ˜…

Of the first 5 posts that currently appear in my home feed, 4 are advertisements for commercial products (longform SEO keyword blurps).

I would like to suggest that either you start charging these companies for such a prominent ranking in people's feeds (if you are not already, of course!), provide a way for individual users to downrank or hide this sort of content, or just blanket downrank them in favour of actual community content by people for people by default.

Grrrr darned venture capital funded freeloaders ruining my procrastination.. ehm, community hub!

Filled it out! But why are checkboxes used for every question? Most questions didn't warrant more than one answer. Giving 2 answers would often contradict each other.

Very good point! Next time around we'll have to make sure to use radio buttons versus checkboxes for questions where we only want one answer.

Why did you put "radio buttons" and "checkboxes" in quotes?
See, here in my message, I actually had a reason to.
(Not judging, just wanted to nitpick something I felt was odd.)

You're right that was pretty odd. Thanks for pointing it out. I'll edit my message.

Speaking of nitpicks, perhaps you wanna edit your message too β€” you misspelled "put". 😜
