Greetings! I'm Taylor!
According to my official title, I'm a Senior Engineer for a small department at a large entertainment studio, but the "Senior" part of that is more in reference to longevity at the company, not a reflection of experience. I am a self-taught developer, currently building internal products primarily using .NET and PowerShell, but I have experience building additional tools with Python, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, C++ and C#. I kinda fell into my current role after 5 years working in the production and post-production departments of various film, television, and digital video projects. These days, a lot of my work is focused on bridging the gap between "traditional" entertainment production practices and new technologies, both by building new tools and advising productions on implementations.
Because the engineering department at my current workplace consists of a small number of people, I have been spending a lot of time trying to understand the best practices and procedures around software development so that I can improve my skills enough to transition into more of a traditional software job in the (hopefully near) future.

Hi All, this is Stefan. I am Principal Security Architect at a large corporation. I've always been an engineer - mind and attitude - so I am quite hands-on in everything I do. I am versed in coding, infrastructure, security, PKI, processes, SSDLC, Risk, ISO, PCI, Incident Response, but also corporate politics and how to talk to leadership. I am current learning how to strike out on my own, the many non-technical aspects of it. I find it very hard, but I am not discouraged. I'm building a security solution because frankly, I think that the security industry is stuck in the past - building the same thing in different ways and expecting better result. I have learned so much since I started and yet I have some many more things to learn. Regrettably, security has never been in vogue, at least not compared to the Cloud, or Blockchain, or lately AI, but paradoxically, the more those sexy things evolve, the more necessary security becomes. Sometimes I wish it were different, but I guess we don't get to choose our path. Happy to engage and pitch into any technical topic and help where I can. I'll tell you if I can't.
