A genuine Samsung S Pen for the S24 Ultra includes a small Bluetooth Low Energy chip inside the pen body, which is what powers Air Actions (using the pen as a remote to open the camera, skip music tracks, or navigate presentations) and lets certain Air Command shortcuts trigger the moment you pull the pen from its silo.
A compatible non-Bluetooth replacement:
- Works fully: writing, note-taking, sketching, 4096-level pressure sensitivity, the on-screen Air Command menu
- Not included: Air Actions gesture remote control (camera shutter, music/slide control via pen clicks)
For most people replacing a lost or broken pen for everyday writing and drawing, this difference doesn't come up.
Color options
