I have a tiny EUR 10K budget to build a Lab. Please share your comments/arguments/curses :)
The Lab's goals:
- no clowd
- CI/CD pipelines ( runners )
- containerization ( freeBSD jails )
- virtualization ( nanos unikernels )
- microservices
- database cluster ( Redis )
- reactive and event-driven stream processing ( Redis streams; zmq )
- used hardware only
- learn how things do actually function ( switching, routing, VNETs, eBPF, security, etc )
- etc
If the lab proves successful, later Infiniband ( also for stream processing and fluid dynamics calculations ) will be added.
