Treating Tools as Disposable Is a Feature

Not All Tools Deserve Loyalty

Some tools are meant to be learned deeply.
Others are meant to be used briefly and forgotten.

Confusing the two leads to bloated workflows.

Disposable by Design

When I use something for:

  • encoding
  • formatting
  • temporary sharing

I assume I won’t remember it tomorrow — and that’s fine.

The value is in the moment, not the mastery.

Fewer Attachments, Fewer Problems

By keeping some tools deliberately disposable:

  • workflows stay flexible
  • decisions stay reversible
  • complexity stays contained

It’s a quiet habit, but it adds up over time.
