I'm switching from windows 7 to Linux Mint on my 13yr old laptop. I loved Manjaro OS but I need to run (.deb) driver from Epson archive to stand a chance to run my printer in the office. I've tried the Generic but it prints some weirdo stuff. Also, the .deb driver I mentioned, got installed but doesn't seem to help. Also, I need to use it's scanner.
Windows 7 is a bit heavy compared to linux. Even chrome crashes every now and then.

Dell Inspiron 1420
Intel Dual core Pentium
DDR2L 2GB X 2
EPSON L6160 or Canon mf230 atleast.
