Desktop Spell Check

Hi,
I use a tool called MediaMonkey to manage my music collection. It is a desktop application that offers a Javascript API. I am looking for a self-contained spell checker where I can pass it a string or the text field, it spell checks and either returns the updated text back or updates the text field. I looked at JavaScriptSpellCheck, but it doesn't work in a File type environment. Any other suggestions? Oh, the app doesn't allow interfacing with ActiveX objects so using MS Word is out.
