Building SortSage: a cleaner take on file automation for Windows

I did not build SortSage because file organization sounded exciting.

I built it because I was tired of doing the same folder cleanup forever.

Downloads would fill up. Desktop would disappear under screenshots. Client folders would turn into junk drawers. And every few days I would repeat the same drag-and-drop routine like it was somehow part of using a computer.

The tools I found in this category had power, but a lot of them felt dated, clunky, abandoned, or too power-user-first for what I wanted. I wanted something that felt modern on Windows and simple enough to live with every day.

That became SortSage: a Windows app that automatically organizes files with smart rules, renaming, and duplicate detection.

SortSage
The real promise of SortSage is not "look at all these features."

It is much simpler than that:
set the rules once, then stop treating folder cleanup like a recurring task.
