84% of agency owners pilot or deliver GEO, yet only 6% sell it as a standalone service. How agencies package, price and sell AI visibility.
Most agencies already offer AI visibility work, but few sell it as its own service. Mavlers Agency found that 84% of responding agency owners have started piloting or delivering AEO or GEO (optimizing for AI answers and generative search), while only 6% charge it as a standalone service. One practical way to sell it is to open with an audit of how AI assistants describe and recommend the client, and to run a new audit once the work is done.
How many agencies already sell AI visibility?
Delivery has already started. Mavlers Agency counts 42% of agency owners who already deliver this work to clients, beyond pilots.
Freelancers see the same pull. Fiverr found that 67% of freelance search specialists report rising retailer demand for generative engine optimization, compared with 56% for traditional search rankings.
Clients rarely ask for it by name. Mavlers Agency reports that only 13% of agency owners said a client asked for it first, so the agency usually starts the conversation and brings the evidence.
Why are your clients' buyers moving to AI assistants?
The demand starts with buyers. Visa Acceptance Solutions found that 30% of shoppers used ChatGPT while researching their latest purchase, up from 2% two years earlier, and that 47% used AI somewhere in their latest purchase journey.
Forrester found that 34% of UK online adults used ChatGPT in the past month to search for products they were interested in buying, up from 22% in its previous survey.
Search has not gone away. Google still leads at 75% in the same Forrester survey, which is why agencies sell AI visibility next to search work, not instead of it.
Why do agencies struggle to price AI visibility?
Most agencies hide it inside work they already sell. Mavlers Agency found that 63% bundle AEO or GEO into existing retainers and only 6% charge it as a standalone service.
Traffic reports make the value hard to show. SparkToro found that 68.01% of US Google searches ended without a click, up from 60.45% in 2024, so a buyer who reads an AI answer may never appear in the client's analytics.
Without a measurement, the price is hard to defend. When the agency cannot show the client where the brand stands in AI answers today, the work looks like a vague add-on to SEO instead of a service with a measured starting point.
What should an agency report to a client?
Report what the buyer sees, not only clicks. Researchers publishing on arXiv found that only 1% of visits to pages with an AI Overview produced a click on a cited source, so an answer can shape the decision without sending a single visit.
Clients care whether the assistant recommends the brand when a buyer asks for options, which source the assistant leans on and whether the description of the product is accurate.
EntityRise measures these points in its AI Visibility Index: mention 20%, recommendation 30%, prominence 20%, citation support 15% and description accuracy 15%. One number for the client, with the evidence behind it in the report.
How do agencies run AI visibility audits for clients?
EntityRise is an AI visibility audit for agencies and companies that shows how ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok and Perplexity describe and recommend a company and what to improve first. The agency runs every client audit itself in the dashboard, starting from a new audit:
- Step 1Enter the client's website and confirm the business profile, the buyer topics and the question set before anything is measured.
- Step 2Let the audit ask up to 40 buyer questions, 17 of them without the brand name, across five AI assistants.
- Step 3Read up to 100 answers kept with their sources, and see where a competitor is named instead of the client.
- Step 4Deliver the report of around 40 pages under the agency's own name and logo, with a prioritized plan of what to improve.
The question set is locked once it is confirmed, and the report keeps the audit ID, the model versions and the timestamp, so the client can see exactly what was measured and when.
How do agency packs work in EntityRise?
Agencies buy audits in discounted agency packs and set their own price for the client. Basic gives 20 audits for $780, which is $39 per audit. Premium brings the price to $33 per audit with 50 audits for $1,650, and the Agency pack lowers it to $28 per audit with 100 audits for $2,800.
Credits are used in the dashboard and stay valid for 12 months, with no subscription. Every report carries the agency's name and logo as the author, and EntityRise appears nowhere on it.
How can an agency open a sale with an audit?
Start with a prospect, not a client. Agencies may audit a business they are preparing an offer for, using public information only, and open the first meeting with the competitors the assistants name instead of the prospect.
That changes the conversation. Instead of explaining what GEO is, the agency shows the prospect where buyers meet a competitor first, then proposes the work that closes the gap and a new audit once it is done.
Common questions
How many agencies offer GEO or AEO services?
More than four in five agency owners in the Mavlers Agency survey pilot or deliver this work, and Mavlers Agency counts 42% who already deliver it to clients.
How should an agency price AI visibility work?
Start from a measurement. Mavlers Agency found that only 6% of agency owners charge AEO or GEO as a standalone service; a first audit shows the client where the brand stands before any work starts, which makes a separate price easier to defend.
Can an agency sell EntityRise audits under its own brand?
Yes. Every pack lets the agency run each client audit itself and deliver the report under its own name and logo, at its own price, from $28 per audit in the Agency pack.
What does an AI visibility audit measure?
EntityRise asks ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok and Perplexity up to 40 buyer questions and measures mention, recommendation, prominence, citation support and description accuracy, with up to 100 answers kept as evidence.
