## Foreword:
In 2022, the most anticipated game is, of course, the latest open-world installment of Dark Souls. I also jumped into [“Elden Ring” (nicknamed: Elden Lord)](https://eldenring.bn-ent.net/tc/) the moment it came out (due to a sponsored video by a YouTuber). After buying it, I played it like crazy. I remember I had already played for nearly 80 hours in a short time (progressing slowly to the capital).
Then, at this time, because it was really hard to get the TV at night. I thought about playing a game similar to [“Elden Ring”](https://eldenring.bn-ent.net/tc/) on the NS, and I remembered that I seemed to have bought "Dark Souls - Remastered" during a sale, but I gave up on it quickly. I thought about using a mage to restart Dark Souls and see if I could play it better this time. As a result, while playing, I ended up abandoning Elden Ring. I thought I would focus on finishing Dark Souls first, and finally, I finished it today. This article is just to record some things I still remember, and also to write down some tips that I think are very important. I didn't record any videos~ But there are many videos you can watch online.
## Advice for New Players
- It is recommended to start with a mage, paired with the Master Key. Your life will be much better.
- Level up and remember to first increase "Endurance" and "Vitality". How long you can live depends on how many times you can roll, and how many hits you can take.
- Bows and arrows are very important, bows and arrows are very important, bows and arrows are very important. If you can shoot them from afar with a bow and arrow, definitely don't think about melee combat.
- Important in the middle and later stages: Remember to sever the tails of bosses that can have their tails severed. The weapons are super useful.

It's the legend that the real bosses are the two dogs. The Taurus Demon is just a decoy. In a small space with two dogs constantly attacking, you're basically just getting bitten for fun. I found a video, and by following this video tutorial to throw from afar, I at least killed one dog first, which allowed me to pass. This also took me one or two hours.

Havel's Set is very important. Although it's incredibly heavy, it ensures you can take a few more hits. I used this to crush many bosses.

Most people think the Anor Londo bosses are difficult, but the Anor Londo archers are actually more difficult. I was stuck for about three hours, always running for a long time and then getting shot down.

### Black Dragon Tail Cut - Not difficult to kill~ but super difficult to cut the tail.

If you seriously fight him, you can probably kill him in three rounds, but it took me several hours to cut the tail. However, the Black Dragon Greatsword has super strong physical attack power and low requirements, so you must get one.
### What to do if you can't parry - You can still beat Gwyn

I could never get the timing right for parrying, so I finally referred to this video. However, the techniques in this video are also quite demanding, mainly because Gwyn's moves are continuous, and there's no chance for you to have enough stamina. In the end, I used the Black Knight Set (best CP) and the Estoc, which has the lowest stamina consumption, to win (it probably took me more than three hours), and I practiced it every day when I had nothing to do.
## Thoughts:
After finishing Dark Souls, I finally had a sense of accomplishment, like "I'm also a player who can play the Souls series!" Sharing a few things:
- You must check the walkthrough. People say the Blighttown is incredibly difficult. I also went to fight the boss at the beginning, and then I ignored it. I waited until my equipment was strong enough to get the treasures later.
- If you can't beat a boss, you must check. There are definitely many easy ways to beat them. Whether it's using the strongest armor to tank, or shooting them from afar.
- Don't be discouraged if you can't beat it. It will be much faster to beat it in a couple of days when you're feeling good.
