Compare Two Ranges of Cells If they are Equal or Different in Excel:

In this article, you will understand how to Compare Two Ranges of Cells If they are Equal or Different in Excel Office 365 using Kutools. Get an official version of MS Excel from the following link: https://www.microsoft.com/en-in/microsoft-365/excel

Note: kutools for Excel has more than 180 features which are used to complete the difficult task with several clicks. If you want to use Kutools, you need to install it from Excel’s official website.

Compare Two Ranges of Cells If they are Equal:

To compare two ranges of cells if they are equal, do as below instructions.

  • In the below screenshot, you can see the two ranges ( A & B ) of date, and we are going to compare them. Then, find the cells which are equal.

  • Go to the Kutools Tab, select the Range option, and choose the Compare Cells option from the menu.

  • It will open the Compare Cells dialog *box. *
  • In that dialog box, you need to select the two ranges ( A & B ) by using the “ Find Values inbox and “ According tobox.
  • Then, you need to choose the Same Cells option under the Find section.
  • If you want to highlight the equal cells with a specific background color or font color, you can use Fill backcolor and Fill Font color options under the Processing of Results section.
  • You can also select the Case Sensitive option.
  • Now, hit the OK button.

  • After clicking the Ok button, Kutools for Excel dialog box will pop out to tell you how many cells have been found. Then, click the OK button to close the dialog box.

  • Now, you can see all the equal cells in range A have been highlighted with the specified background color and font color based on the cell values in range B.

Compare Two Ranges of Cells If they are Different:

If you want to compare two ranges of cells to find different values, follow the below steps.

  • In the below screenshot, you can see the two ranges ( A & B ) of date, and we are going to compare them. Then, find the cells which are equal.

  • Go to the Kutools Tab, select the Range option, and choose the Compare Cells option from the menu.

  • It will open the Compare Cells dialog *box. *
  • In that dialog box, you need to select the two ranges ( A & B ) by using the “ Find Values inbox and “ According tobox.
  • Then, you need to choose the Different Cells option under the Find section.
