To list all file names from folders or directories in the worksheet, follow the below steps.
- Primarily, you need to open the workbook that you want to create a list of files from the specific folder in a new sheet.
- Go to the Kutools Plus Tab, select the Import & Export option, choose the Filename List option from the menu.

- Then, it will display the Filename List Dialog Box.
- List files from this folder – You need to select the directory in which you want to list the files using the file button.
- If you want to list the files in subfolders or list hidden files, you need to check the Include files in subdirectories or Include hidden files and folders option.
- Files type – You need to specify the file type that you want to list.
- File size unit – Select any one of the file size units using the drop-down list.
- You can also check the Create hyperlinks option. It will create hyperlinks for each listed file.
- After completing the above steps, click the OK button to get the result.
- Now, all the files have been displayed with some attributes in a new worksheet as shown in the below screenshot.
