TANH function is a Mathematical function to calculate the hyperbolic Tangent of the value , and it is a built-in Excel function. TANH Function Syntax 

= TANH ( number )

  • You have to create a sample data with values which will be input to the function.

Sample data

  • Then, you need to find its hyperbolic Tangent value.
  • Now, you have to use the following formula given below. 
=TANH ( A2 )

A2: the number is given as cell reference.

  • After that, the value will calculate ** using the **mathematical formula. 
TANH (x) = (e1- e-1) / (e1+ e-1)

  • If the argument provided is in degrees , first multiply the number in degrees by PI ()/180 to convert it into radians.
