Most online discussions follow one pattern: someone posts a hot take, people pile on or agree, and the thread dies. Nothing evolves.
I wanted to build something different.
What is SourceThread?
SourceThread is a discussion platform where content flows through phases:
- Hot Take - the raw, unfiltered opinion
- Pushback - someone challenges it with evidence
- Nuanced - the discussion matures
- Factual - the community reaches something closer to truth
Think of it like a remix engine for ideas. You can take any thread and flip the perspective, add data, or challenge the premise.
Why?
Because humans naturally move toward truth when given the right structure. The problem with Reddit/Twitter isn't the people - it's that the format rewards engagement over evolution.
SourceThread is built to reward depth.

Try It
Sign up takes 10 seconds. Jump into any thread and remix it.
Current topics range from tech (passkeys, open source) to culture (the Google exodus) to science (pet behavior).
I'd love feedback from the dev community. What would make you actually use something like this?
Built by a two-person team (a construction professional who codes and his AI). Yes, really.
