Solar Panel Energy

When a homeowner installs a solar panel on their roof, it enables protons and electrons to react. This reaction causes the electrons to break away from the atoms. Once the electrons have loosened away from one another and have broken free, then a current is created. This current can then be collected and changed into energy and then the energy into usable electricity.

What are Solar Panels?

Solar panels are devices that collect and change the energy from the sun into electricity. What are Solar Panels? Typically, they are found on the rooftops of homes and businesses, but they can also be installed on the ground. These devices are the main parts of a solar energy system. Other parts are inverters, mounting system and monitoring systems.

Each solar panel has solar cells. The job of the cells is to draw in as much sunlight as possible. As the sun rays are being collected the circuits on the inside of the cells will take the energy and change it direct current electricity. This is also known as DC electricity. Afterwards, the DC electricity is forced to move through a particular device called an inverter. The job of the inverter is to transform the DC electricity into AC electricity. Now that the DC electricity has transformed into AC electricity it can now be used in the home.

How Silicon Help Electron Currents Make Energy

How do Solar Panels Work? This a good question. Photovoltaic panels consist of many solar cells. These cells are made of silicon. Silicon is an excellent semi-conductor. Silicon is a commonly used material that uses as an excellent semi-conductor while the electrons are going through the solar cell creation procedure.

The currents that are created from the electrons are able to move around and circulate inside of this semi-conductor. Pure silicon allows the currents to have plenty of room to move around. The more movement the currents make the more energy is formed and the more electricity is created. This type of solar panel that is made from Monocrystalline is not the only type of panel there is. How Solar Panel Work?

There is another panel that is called Polycrystalline panels. The silicon in these panels are made from many different fragments of silicon. In other words these silicons are not single crystal cut. They are not pure. The fragments are then melted all together. They are laid into a mold, which is then sliced into wafers. The fact that the silicons in these panels are not pure, but made from fragments hinder them the currents from moving as freely. So, the amount of energy that is created is much less.

What are the Benefits of Solar Energy?

There are a number of benefits that come from using solar energy. One of the main benefits is that if solar energy is used abundantly, over a period of time we may began to see a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions. Benefits of Solar Energy. If as a society, we can reduce greenhouse gas emissions we may be able to slow down the effects of climate change. This is a serious conversation that families across the globe are having.

The use of fossil fuel and natural gas is unhealthy for the human body. It is also extremely harmful to our water, food, and land. Fossil fuel use has been a contributor to the rise in Asthma and other Respiratory diseases. Also, when fossil fuel is being transported, it has the potential to cause very serious accidents. Numerous spills have taken place in the past, which has been very costly. And lastly when the fuels are being burned and utilized, it releases deadly toxins into the air, which can do great harm to humans and animals.
