At Steelbridge Export, we believe in building a cleaner energy future — one shipment at a time. This commitment came to life recently when we were selected as the primary copper supplier for a record-breaking solar mega-project in the Middle East. The project represented not only a major leap forward in renewable energy, but also a milestone in logistical execution for our team.
Copper was central to the success of this 800-megawatt solar installation. Used across grounding grids, transmission infrastructure, and photovoltaic connectors, high-conductivity copper was essential for maximizing power output and ensuring system durability. We were entrusted with sourcing and delivering thousands of metric tons of copper with near-zero margin for delay.
A major reason for our selection was our ability to integrate with the project’s EPCF (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Financing) model. EPCF frameworks require suppliers to align with complex funding structures, construction milestones, and compliance requirements. Steelbridge Export provided not only the raw material but also the documentation, certifications, and scheduling precision demanded by EPCF-led projects.
We coordinated closely with the project’s financiers and engineers, aligning our copper delivery with each construction phase. Our real-time delivery reporting and proactive customs coordination ensured that the installation team had what they needed, exactly when they needed it.
Even when global freight prices surged and delays hit international ports, our planning paid off. We successfully avoided any supply interruptions, enabling the solar plant to stay on schedule and meet its ambitious clean power generation goals.
The result? A massive solar field now feeds power into the national grid, helping reduce carbon emissions and stabilize energy costs. It’s a project we’re proud to be part of — and one completed in partnership with our valued collaborators, including aiko solar.
