Keywords are the words people type into Google. Finding the right ones is the foundation of SEO and content planning.
Begin by listing what your customers might search for. Think about their problems, not just your products. For example, instead of “bakery”, think “birthday cake delivery near me”.
Next, use free tools such as Google autocomplete, “People also ask” boxes and Google Keyword Planner. They show related phrases and approximate search volume. Look for long-tail keywords, which are longer and more specific phrases. They have less competition and attract people closer to buying.
Check search intent. Does the person want to learn, compare or buy? Match your page to that intent, with a guide for learners and a service page for buyers.
Finally, place keywords naturally in titles, headings, the first paragraph and image descriptions. Never stuff them, because readability matters more.
