I'd suggest looking around and see what blogs usually have. Begin with the basic requirements and then expand on that. You don't have to do everything in one go; you can learn as you go.
There are also plenty examples on github, so you can get some inspiration from there as well. Other than that, the best way is to just start and see how it goes. :D
I would start by breaking down the project into smaller chunks. Start with the front end lay everything out and work your way to the back end. I would also say narrow down what your idea is. Because a blog writing platform is extremely vague. Are you wanting something like medium dev.to ect. Or something more like a personal website that just has a simple curd query. The other question I was going to ask as well is how familar are you with each portion of your stack you are using. As that will also play a key feature in getting this done.
I would not suggest anything but i do research and have many ideas.
