But Appeon shipped PowerBuilder 2025 in May. Nearly 10,000 companies still run it in production. US federal agencies renewed licenses in 2023.
Legacy? Yes. Abandoned? Far from it.
The real problem isn't the software. It's the DataWindow. There's no direct equivalent in any modern framework, and the developers who built them have mostly retired.
