Stereotypes and Identity in the book White Blonde Jew

The text analyzes the mechanisms of how stereotypes operate using the example of the blonde character in Alyssa Rosenheck's book. The author indicates that visual traits often precede the assessment of competence, creating a cognitive trap that can lead to the marginalization of women. Drawing on psychological and sociological research, the article shows the paradox of attractiveness: being perceived as a "dumb blonde" can be limiting, but simultaneously become a tool for strategic camouflage and an advantage in impression management. The analysis also covers the conflict between communal and agentic traits in a professional context, proving that stereotypes are cultural constructs that can be consciously intercepted and turned against the recipient to regain subjectivity.
