The Data Gap: Systemic Exclusion of Women and Its Consequences

This article provides an in-depth analysis of the data gap, which is not merely a statistical error but a fundamental aporia of contemporary rationality. The author demonstrates how adopting the male model as the universal norm leads to the systemic exclusion of women in key areas of life. In medicine, this results in diagnostic asymmetry and errors in clinical trials, in technology – the reproduction of biases by AI algorithms, and in economics – the neglect of the value of care work. The text also addresses issues of urban planning and transportation, demonstrating that radial planning fails to account for women's specific travel chains. It is a call for a redefinition of measurement systems in order to build a more equitable and efficient state.
