My Wordpress posts import fine from the RSS Feed but it doesn't include the featured image. In dev.to, I see the Upload Image button but when I upload an image, it doesn't allow me to edit the Alt Text then when I hit Preview there's no image showing. When I go back to Edit, the uploaded image link disappears. I tried uploading then publishing without previewing but again, no image shows. Images work fine when I write a post or embed them in the article.

I just hit the same issue and finally found a solution. In the text block at the top you have to add
cover_image: URL
