What's new in the GitHub Community - 2024.01.12

Welcome to 2024! I hope everyone has survived their first week (or maybe it's your second week) back from the holidays. In 2023, we heard a lot about AI and the extensive features of GitHub Copilot. Let's see what 2024 brings!

This blog was not written by AI, at GitHub we want to publish a blog for you, the community, to allow you to catch up on the latest news from GitHub and to also highlight what the amazing folks out in the community are doing!

  • Take a look at Zane's blog about creating an Engaging GitHub profile, this is a very cool read to take your profile to the next level!

  • How good are you at creating pull requests? Sometimes we struggle with Git commands. Ezhil has written a great blog to help you get started or fine tune your pull request skills!

  • Thomas Thornton's blog is an awesome how-to on how to display your Terraform plan in your pull request.

  • Securing your deployments with PubKey, especially if you're using Docker is a really important integration into GitHub Actions. Check out the blog from Cloud Zenix.

  • Are you an IT Pro and want to learn more about using GitHub Copilot? Steve Buchanan has released a new course on Pluralsight, he blogs about the new course here.

If you’ve written an article about GitHub or find some great content about GitHub or any of its features or products, please share it with the #GitHub hashtag on Twitter or LinkedIn!

What's new at GitHub this week?

Thank you Zane, Ezhil, Thomas, Kedasha and Steve for putting together these great updates!

Happy Friday and we'll see you all next time for the latest GitHub community updates!
