On server-side tracking, though, you get a specific Google Cloud server that receives all the requests from your website. The pixels related to both marketing and tracking are rendered through this server, rather than the browser which provides better results.

The native Facebook Pixel integration works well for Shopify stores - although you might want to set up the Facebook Conversion API to get even better results because of some inaccuracy problems caused by browser-side tracking.

How to Set up Facebook Pixel on Shopify?

Here I share a 4-step-process so you can get Facebook Pixel up and running on your Shopify store. Before you start, you should make sure to:

  1. ​​Install the official Facebook Channel App on your Shopify store
  2. Have the Facebook Business Manager with admin rights there

Now, you can move on with the steps:

Step 1: Navigate to Shopify Admin > Online Store > Preferences > Setup Facebook

You might have such an issue due to one of the reasons below:

  1. You are utilizing multiple apps for Facebook Pixel and this leads to malfunction.
  2. Your Facebook Pixel is activated from the native app and is also triggered through Google Tag Manager.
  3. You’ve got some extra FB Pixel codes injected into your theme files.

You can use the native Facebook integration to avoid the double-counting problem. Also, it would be a good idea to clean up your theme files and delete the FB Pixel codes you see.
