Hey Devs,
I've been struggling with Google Search Console (GSC) lately. I have a bunch of static HTML pages that were stuck on page 2 (positions 11-20). I knew I needed to add FAQ schemas and "Answer Capsules" to them, but manually editing 30+ pages was a nightmare.
So, I hooked up an AI agent to do it for me.
The Workflow
I used Cline (an AI coding agent in VS Code) connected to a free LLM API. I fed it my GSC data and told it to look for exact-match keywords that were underperforming.
Here is what the AI did automatically:
- Read my
shutterstock.htmlandpypl.htmlfiles. - Found that my H1 and title tags were using abbreviations like
STK* / SHUTTERSTOCKinstead of the exact search querystk shutterstock. - Rewrote the titles and H1s to match the exact search intent.
- Injected a purple "Quick Answer" block right under the H1.
- Generated a JSON-LD FAQ schema and appended it to the
<head>. - Committed and pushed the changes to GitHub.
The Result
Within minutes, Vercel deployed the new pages. Google Search Console is now showing more impressions for these exact-match queries, and the pages are crawling back up the SERP.
It is amazing what you can automate with an AI agent and a few structured prompts.
Has anyone else tried using AI Agents to edit static HTML for SEO? Would love to hear your workflow!
