🌟 I Hired 2 AI Assistants, and My YouTube Journey Took Off! 🌟

#ai

At 1 AM, I was still editing my third video. Honestly, I was on the verge of breaking down—creating a YouTube Short took me at least 2-3 hours from brainstorming to editing, and that was on a good day.

I wonder if anyone else can relate to that feeling: every step feels mechanical, yet you have to dive in and do it all yourself. Scouring platforms for trending topics, jotting down notes on what makes a hit, tweaking AI prompts to sift through generated visuals for the right material, and painstakingly piecing everything together—it’s a relentless grind.

The hardest part isn’t the lack of views; it's having potential hits but not enough bandwidth to keep up. You watch as viral content seems to pop up daily, but your own output just can’t keep pace—3-4 videos is about my limit.

That was until I hired two "employees" who don’t need a paycheck, don’t take breaks, and are online 24/7. Their names are Dot and Fries—yep, after my two beloved cats. It’s both endearing and convenient!🐱

Let’s talk results before we get into the details. Across my five channels, I now have 1.8 million subscribers and 220 million views. This isn’t bragging; it’s real data. No exaggeration, no faking—just sharing my genuine experience to hopefully guide others feeling a bit lost.

But here’s a possibly unpopular truth: in the AI era, we’re not short on tools to solve our problems. Many people invest so much time learning techniques and mastering various AI tools, only to hit a wall—wait, what problem am I actually trying to solve?!

This post isn’t about how to set up OpenClaw. There are plenty of tutorials online for that. What I want to discuss is this: before you jump on the AI bandwagon, take a moment to clarify what problem you really need to solve.

⚙️My First AI Assistant: Dot

Dot is in charge of identifying trends and dissecting them. Honestly, this used to be my biggest headache—spending 3-4 hours a day scrolling endlessly, straining my eyes. Now, Dot is on the clock 24/7, automatically tracking trending content and analyzing it for me. From structure to logic, it breaks everything down, saving me tons of time and effort.

⚙️My Second AI Assistant: Fries

Fries handles content generation and video editing. Previously, editing a single video meant endless tweaking of footage and re-generating unsatisfactory visuals, often taking over two hours. Now, Fries automates the entire process—from generating materials to selecting quality clips and stitching everything together. My video production time has shrunk from 3 hours to just 30 minutes—a sixfold increase in efficiency!

But here’s the cold splash of reality: while AI boosts your efficiency, it doesn’t mean you can sit back and relax or magically become happier. Many assume hiring AI means effortless success, only to find themselves busier than before—because with increased capacity comes more content to manage, details to refine, and strategic direction to oversee.

Remember, AI isn’t a search engine; it’s a versatile executor. You need to tell it exactly what to do and how to do it. Clear instructions and defined processes are essential to get the results you want.

My takeaway? Don’t aim for perfection—just aim to get things done. Dot and Fries made mistakes at first, but we adjusted and kept refining. After three months of back-and-forth, they now understand YouTube’s viral logic better than I do and can align precisely with the content style I’m aiming for.

Starting today, delegate your repetitive tasks to AI. Trust me, it’s not slacking off; it’s about unleashing your productivity. Use the time and energy you save to focus on creativity, strategy, and ultimately, yourself.

The true power of AI isn’t to replace you but to empower you, helping you break free from tedious tasks and become a more efficient, remarkable version of yourself. For me, Dot + Fries = my YouTube success. What’s your equation?
