E-Signature & Digital Signing MCP Servers — DocuSign, SignNow, BoldSign, and More

At a glance: 8+ e-signature MCP servers with unusually strong vendor participation — DocuSign, SignNow, BoldSign, and eSignatures.com all ship their own MCP servers. DocuSign's official connector (beta) is the most enterprise-ready. SignNow has the most complete open-source implementation (15 tools). Rating: 3.5/5.

Official Vendor Servers

DocuSign MCP Server (Official, Beta)

The biggest name in e-signatures now has an official MCP server through the Claude Connectors Directory. Full eSignature lifecycle: create envelopes, send for signature, add attachments, configure workflow steps (delayed routing, conditional recipients), manage contacts. Enterprise governance preserved — same permissions, access controls, and audit policies as the web UI. Still in beta. Not open source.

SignNow sn-mcp-server (Official)

signnow/sn-mcp-server (~5 stars, Python, MIT) — 15 tools covering the full signing workflow. The standout feature: embedded signing/editor — generate in-app signing links without redirecting to SignNow's site. One-shot template workflows combine template selection and action into a single call. Dual transport: STDIO + Streamable HTTP. Document field pre-filling included.

BoldSign MCP (Official)

boldsign/boldsign-mcp (~4 stars, TypeScript, MIT) — Published on npm as @boldsign/mcp. Multi-region support (US, EU, CA) for GDPR compliance. Organized tools for documents, templates, contacts, users, and teams. No embedded signing.

Community Servers

esignaturescom/mcp-server-esignatures (~35 stars, Python, MIT) — Most-starred e-signature MCP server. Full contract lifecycle: create/withdraw/delete contracts, template management with collaborator access control. The highest community adoption, but tied to eSignatures.com's platform.

thisdot/docusign-navigator-mcp (TypeScript, MIT) — DocuSign Navigator (agreement intelligence). Search and analyze existing agreements with natural language. Read-only by design — safe for exploration.

CDataSoftware/docusign-mcp-server-by-cdata (Java, MIT) — Read-only DocuSign data queries via JDBC. Requires commercial CData JDBC Driver.

SignWell MCP (Pipedream-hosted) — 12+ tools, zero infrastructure. Hosted by Pipedream — not self-hostable.

What's Missing

  • Adobe Acrobat Sign — no dedicated MCP server despite being #2 in market share
  • Dropbox Sign (HelloSign) — Pipedream-hosted only, no open-source server
  • PandaDoc — listed in some directories, no dedicated GitHub repo
  • Contract analysis/redlining — no AI-powered clause extraction or redline comparison

The Bottom Line

Rating: 3.5/5 — Notable for vendor participation. Three e-signature companies ship their own MCP servers — a level of official support rare in the MCP ecosystem. DocuSign's managed connector is the enterprise pick. SignNow's 15-tool open-source server is the best self-hosted option. Star counts are low across the board (max 35), and Adobe Sign's absence is the biggest gap.
