I built a Pomodoro timer with task management 🍅
I've been working on PomoEfficiency, a free Pomodoro timer that combines focused work sessions with a simple task list.
It happens to anybody to procrastinate, or to take a long time for a task that doesn't need so much time. You have the impression that you are wasting your time, and unfortunately it's real. But don't get depressed, if you are reading this you are on the right way!
Being aware of your procrastination and thinking about how to avoid it is the first step to move on and to accomplish all of your goals and dreams!
I was in the same place as you! And by making this pomodoro timer app, I want to fight against my procrastination. I tried some other pomodoro timer apps, but I found them not simple enough to use. They have all forgotten something: the main problem of a person concerned by laziness is distraction. So, i tried to make this app as simple as possible.
Making a simple and efficient app is the key to efficient work, and a focused mindset. So I decided to make my own web app, to help myself, and all of you that are reading this.
What it currently does
- 🍅 Customizable Pomodoro, short break and long break durations
- ✅ Task management
- 🔔 Notifications when sessions end
- 📊 Session/focus tracking
- 🌐 Works directly in the browser
- 💾 Tasks are saved locally, so no account is required
You can try it here:
Why I'm sharing it here
I'm mainly looking for feedback from other developers and people who use productivity tools, or if you wasn't knowing the pomodor technique, feel free to test it with my app.
What do you currently use for Pomodoro sessions?
And if you've tried several Pomodoro apps, what's one thing you wish they did better?
Any feedback is welcome — especially if you find something confusing or annoying about the current version.
Thanks for checking it out! 🙌
