Accuracy in 1Password: The price of the individual plan increased by 33%

1Password increased its annual Individual subscription price by about 33% earlier this year to $47.88, alongside adjustments to its Family plan pricing.

We examine the updated subscription tiers, AES-256-GCM encryption architecture, and how pricing shifts compare across password management options.

The new subscription prices

The annual subscription for individual users has increased from $35,88 to $47,88, while the family plan has increased from $59,88 to $71,88 per year. For those who prefer a monthly fee, the price is $4,99 for an individual account and $7,99 for a family plan.

What does the service include?

The app offers a 14-day free trial, but there is no permanent free version. The subscription includes unlimited password storage and sync, 1GB of encrypted space, a travel mode to protect data at border controls, and a security check tool. The company does not sell or share its customers' data with third parties and has not experienced any security breaches to date.

For those who want hidden email addresses, a separate subscription to another partner service is required. There are several alternatives on the market that offer fully functional free packages.
