Apple introduced its first touch-screen MacBook with the MacBook Pro featuring a PROLED XDR Display, utilizing stacked dual-layer OLED technology under 1mm thick with an integrated touch control layer for improved response times.
The new display is based on a dual-layer organic pixel technology that is less than a millimeter thick. Apple placed the touch layer directly on top of these layers, which improves the speed of response to user commands. At the same time, the display supports a fast 120Hz refresh rate for smoother motion.
In Apple's new operating system, Dynamic Island is used as a central hub for system-wide search and Siri voice assistant. In addition, the phone-to-computer projection feature allows users to control a wirelessly connected iPhone directly from the laptop using touch.
Prices for the new models start at $2.899 for the 14-inch version and go up to $3.399 for the larger 16-inch model.
