Explore the details of CVE-2026-101767, a critical 9.8-severity flaw in Oracle E-Business Suite involving unauthenticated SQL injection and remote code execution.
Threat monitors report early exploratory probes following last week's patch.
According to cybersecurity firm Defused Cyber, surveillance systems recorded movements by unknown individuals attempting to test the problem in practice. The vulnerability allows anyone with network access to run commands on the database and then gain access to the application system itself.
What is at risk of leaking?
If someone were to exploit the issue, they could read or change important business data, such as financial records, payroll data, personnel records and procurement information. The risk is greatest for companies that have connected their systems directly to the internet, although internal networks can also be at risk if there has been a previous breach elsewhere.
How can organizations be protected?
Oracle urges users to apply the newly released update as soon as possible. For cases where immediate update is not possible, alternative protection measures are recommended, such as restricting access to specific web addresses and intensively monitoring systems for suspicious activity.
