Beats has confirmed a hardware collaboration with Pokémon, teasing an upcoming Pikachu-inspired wireless speaker with a promotional video and the tagline «Time to catch something new».
The company posted a short video showing the speaker's shadow, accompanied by yellow lightning bolts. The post included the caption, "It's time to grab something new."
Rumors of a collaboration began in August, when Pikachu visited Apple's offices and met with executives Tim Cook and John Ternus. Shortly after, a Facebook user posted a photo showing the packaging of a Pikachu-themed speaker inside a cart.
So far, the company has not revealed the product's release date.
