DankMaterialShell becomes Dux Shell v2.0 Heisenberg, introducing a Material 3 Expressive UI, a modular dashboard, new file manager with SFTP/SMB support, and expanded Wayland compositor integrations.

Version 2.0 brings a completely redesigned visual design based on Google's lines. Settings, Control Center, and Dashboard feature refreshed layouts, smoother gestures, and new elements, while Settings has been reorganized to make it easier for users to find customization options.

New features and tools

The main panel now supports add-ons that allow the addition of entire tabs or individual cards, which users can customize in size and position. At the same time, the lock screen has gained a new visual editor for placing and adjusting widgets, such as the clock, notifications, and power controls.

In the music department, a new feature adds synchronized lyrics to the built-in media player, with support for various sources as well as local files. In addition, Dux Files, a new and independent file manager with support for tabs, split-window viewing, compressed file management in formats such as ZIP, TAR, 7z and RAR, as well as remote access via remote connections, is also introduced.

The developers say the update includes over 90 bug fixes related to lock screen behavior, multiple displays, network connectivity, and notifications, while the official add-on library now has over 380 add-ons and 47 themes.
