Edifier's MR3 desktop speakers are now available for $149, offering a compact footprint with balanced TRS inputs, RCA, 3.5mm AUX, and Bluetooth 5.4 support.
Delivering 18W RMS per channel via 3.5-inch drivers and silk-dome tweeters, they include app-based EQ and room tuning tools that do not require an account.
Design and key features
The speakers are 4,94 inches wide, 8,66 inches tall, and weigh in at under 8,5 pounds. Each speaker features a 3,5-inch mid-low driver, a 1-inch silk-dome tweeter, and 18 watts RMS power per speaker.
Connections and capabilities
For connection to other devices, they feature stereo RCA, 3.5mm AUX, TRS balanced ports, as well as Bluetooth 5.4 with support exclusively for SBC. On the back are audio adjustment buttons, while on the front there is a rotary volume control.
The companion Edifier Connex app offers additional equalization settings and room customization tools, without requiring account creation.
Sound quality
The speakers' sound is clear in the high and mid frequencies. However, it has limitations in the performance of very deep bass.
