Organizations frequently struggle to prioritize security remediations due to fragmented visibility across their attack surface.
This post explores how integrating CAASM and EASM allows teams to map internal assets against external threats.
By combining these data sources, organizations can automate workflows, accurately assess business impact, and validate fixes before deployment, moving beyond simple alert fatigue to measurable risk reduction.
Connecting all data
Companies often keep information about their systems in different places, resulting in inconsistencies. For example, one department may consider a computer active, while another records it as retired. A proper system should bring all this data together so it’s clear who owns what and whether each part of the network is properly protected.
Prioritize based on actual threat
Not all systems are at risk to the same degree. Management must prioritize based on how important a system is to the business, the activity of the attackers, and whether it is realistically possible for them to reach a weak point. An application used by customers, for example, needs immediate attention over an internal test system.
Confirm the solution before implementation
Before implementing a fix, it is essential that the team understands exactly what the risk allows and whether the proposed solution will cause malfunctions. The platform must provide evidence that the risk is real and not a mere hypothesis.
Fast and safe correction
Speed is key, but it must be accompanied by proper knowledge of the environment. When the team knows exactly what they are fixing, they can complete the process even within an hour. A typical example is an airline group that, between January 1 and October 26, 2026, deleted over 1.500 fake profiles posing as customer support, combining human judgment with automated processes.
Verification of the result
After completing an action, it must be confirmed that the risk has indeed been removed. An update may fail if a portion of the network was unavailable at the time of its application. Monitoring must continue to ensure that the problem has been permanently resolved and will not reoccur.
