A leak attributed to @phonefuturist outlines price targets and display differences for Samsung’s expected Galaxy S27 lineup.
In the US and South Korea, it lists the S27 at $899, the S27+ at $1,099 and a new S27 Pro at $1,299.
The leak says Privacy Display and M16 OLED are expected on the Pro and Ultra, while the S27 and S27+ are expected to use M14 panels.
These details remain unconfirmed and may change.
@phonefuturist reported on October 7 that the Galaxy S27 will cost $899 and the S27+ $1.099 in the US. He gave a price of $1.299 for the S27 Pro, while he mentioned two tiers for the S27 Ultra, at $1.399 and $1.499. Leaker Lanzuk had given similar price levels for the Ultra, but had predicted increases for all models.
The S27 Pro, which will be a new model in the series, is said to cost the same as the S26 Ultra when it was launched. Prices may vary by region. The Galaxy S27 series is expected in the first quarter of 2027, with no official date announced.
Screens on Pro and Ultra
According to the information about the series, the S27 Pro and S27 Ultra will have Samsung's M16 OLED panels, while the S27 and S27+ will use M14 panels. M16 is also used in the external display of the iPhone Duo.
A previous report suggested that the Privacy Display feature, which limits the visibility of the screen from the side, would only be available on the two most expensive models. The justification given is that only their panels have the Flex Magic Pixel technology required for the feature. Privacy Display is among the features of the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
The cost of the S26 series and the lack of memory
The S27's reported prices come amid a global memory shortage that the report says has contributed to price hikes for phones. The Galaxy S26 and S26+ were released at $100 more than their predecessors. Samsung later raised the series' prices again in the US, with the base S26 now selling for $999. So the $899 attributed to the S27 would be lower than the current price of the S26.
The report also reports that the Pixel 11 launched at $899, $100 more than the Pixel 10, and that Apple raised the price of the iPhone 18 Pro by $100. Samsung is planning production cuts of up to 30%, while JPMorgan estimates that DRAM prices will have increased by more than 400% from early 2024 to late 2026. These figures provide the broader economic context, but do not prove by themselves what will determine the final prices of the Galaxy S27.
