Kali Linux 2026.3 is now available, introducing six new security tools like RustScan and Dalfox, kernel 7.1.5, and KDE Plasma 6.7.
Developers can now build custom images inside Docker or Podman using built-in helper scripts.
New tools and capabilities
The new version adds six new security programs to the system repositories. These include tools for detecting problems on websites, quickly scanning networks, searching for sensitive information in shared folders, and managing wireless devices.
At the same time, the system's creators have standardized the scripts used to create official installations, so that they have a more consistent structure and options. Now, users can build system images inside isolated application environments, such as Docker or Podman, using a built-in utility.
Appearance and speed improvements
The graphical desktop environment has been upgraded to KDE Plasma 6.7, bringing separate desktops per monitor and better support for modern display systems. There have also been performance and power consumption optimizations for computers with integrated Intel graphics.

The update includes a total of 126 program updates, moving the operating system core from version 6.19 to 7.1.5.
Mobile updates
The portable version of the system has gained support for detecting wireless networks via the TicWatch Pro 3 smartwatch. An experimental feature allows users to control the robot from their phone via a wireless connection, while near-field communication features can now be directly leveraged to support specific cards without an external adapter.
Support for newer system kernels was also added and issues in older Android kernels were fixed, while additional kernels were made available for Google Pixel, Motorola, Sony Xperia, and Xiaomi devices.
Availability and download
For the convenience of users, four new download servers have been added in Europe, located in the Netherlands, Portugal, and Switzerland. The new installations are available from the official page, while existing users can upgrade their system using the normal update commands.
