Meta's Ray-Ban Meta Audio glasses arrive priced at 349 dollars without an onboard camera, featuring open-ear speakers, six microphones, and up to 12 hours of battery life.
The frames integrate Meta AI features and audio recording storage managed through the companion app.
Design and sound features
The glasses come in two designs, the Burbank and the Clubmaster. The Clubmaster model weighs 47 grams and features traditional nose pads for a better fit. In terms of audio, the device features six microphones and open-type speakers.
Battery and functions
The battery lasts up to 12 hours of mixed use and up to 6 hours of continuous audio playback. Despite the lack of a camera, the glasses support Meta's AI features, such as live translation and navigation, and the Muse assistant is also expected.
Action button restrictions
The small action button on the frame has limited options. Specifically, it only supports music or activating the digital assistant, with no other settings.
Privacy issues
Meta stores audio recordings from devices, which can be listened to by trained evaluators. However, there is the option to manually delete them from the app.
