The new search bar
The company announced a new, faster search bar for the desktop. The new search prioritizes apps, files, and settings and includes quick actions. It's already available in early preview builds of Windows 11.
Changes to storage space
Starting in May 2027, Microsoft 365 Family and Premium plans will be limited to 2TB of total storage. Microsoft 365 Personal plans will retain the 1TB of storage they currently offer.
File management in storage windows
Users can disable file grouping in storage windows by right-clicking and selecting the appropriate setting. The setting to remove grouping is saved individually for each application and not globally for the entire system.
