Anbernic's new RG DDS handheld features a dual-screen layout powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon G2 Gen 2 processor, built for emulation up to PS2 and Switch levels.
Technical characteristics and performance
The console is equipped with Qualcomm's Snapdragon G2 Gen 2 processor, which allows it to run games even from the PlayStation 2 and Nintendo Switch.
The two screens of the device have different sizes and proportions:
- The main top screen is 4,7 inches, with a resolution of 1.200 x 720 and a 5:3 aspect ratio.
- The bottom screen is 4 inches, with a resolution of 960 x 720 and a 4:3 aspect ratio.
The device's battery has a capacity of 6.000mAh, while beyond these figures, no other details have been revealed.
Design and handling
In terms of controls, the layout resembles that of the well-known Nintendo console, with the difference that Anbernic added an additional analog stick on the right side. The body of the device stores an extendable touch pen, while there is also a special artificial intelligence button, the functions of which remain unknown at this time.
Price and circulation
Anbernic did not reveal when the console will be released or what its price will be, but it is expected to cost slightly more than the $99 that the company's previous model cost.
